Dev Diary: Demo Updates

Good evening! Welcome in our first dev diary after the demo release!

First thing first, the full game will be published in early September, hopefully during the first week of the month! 

Basing on the recieved feedback the following major updates were made:

Reworked the "Ruin" Boss fight

Now it's more intuitive and easy to get along the fight and understand how the Boss works

• Removed in-scene canvas
• Removed the damage modifier based on the amount of active turrets;
  • Now it's an all or nothing;
• Reworked the Level Design with the will to make the scene more dynamic and paced accordingly with the design intention;
  • Now the arena is a circle, instead of a square and the boss is placed at the center of it, surrounded by barriers and turret, making more intuitive the overall boss Fight.

Reworked the Shield System

Now works like an additional energy bar

• Added new UI elements that override the old shield icon;
• Recalculated the drop-rate in order to make shields in order to make shields a more active part of the gameplay;
• Changed shield-drop color (was yellow, now it'is light blue);
• Recalculated the invulnerability time after the shields are depleted;

Added new Environment assets

Now should be more easy to navigate and orientate in the warp rooms

• Added 2 new static pillars;
• Added 4 brand new decorations for the environment (and they loop!);
• Repositioned almost all block in the warp room, removing a lot of noise in the Level Design and making the navigation more clear and intuitive;
• Added new decorations in the Warp Room, using the new assets;

Minor Fixes

In addition to all the previous changes, a lot of debug as been made (now you cannot use anymore those cheeky tricks ;D) and small changes in order to optimize the experience.
